Designed by Starkey for the Livio ranges, this 2.4Ghz Mini Remote Microphone is the perfect assistive listening device for one-to-one conversation in a noisy environment like a restaurant or café.

This small clip-on microphone can be clipped to the clothing of your conversation partner to pick their voice up close to then send wirelessly to your hearing aids. As a result, you have a vastly increased signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). Furthermore, an increased SNR improves speech discrimination and therefore decreases listening effort and fatigue.

In addition, the device is both small and discreet and comes complete with:

Charging:

The Mini Remote Mic reaches a fully charged state typically in about 3 hours. Moreover, you can charge your microphone in either of two ways – via power supply or using the USB cable provided.

How to use:

For optimal performance, the Starkey 2.4Ghz Mini Remote Microphone should be around 20cm (8 inches) from the speaker’s mouth. However, although the one-to-one conversation is the device’s primary use, it can also be laid flat on a surface closer to the desired sound (‘tabletop use’).

An example of this would be placing the device near a television on the other side of the room. Nonetheless, it should be noted that the device is not optimized for this purpose and works better in its primary function.

Luckily, the Mini Remote Microphone has an operating range of up to 20 meters (60 feet) while in line of sight. In addition, you can fully control the microphone via the Starkey Thrive Hearing Control app, which allows you to start or stop audio streaming and adjust the volume.

Pairing:

To pair the 2.4Ghz Mini Remote Mic with your Livio or Livio AI hearing aids, follow the handy guide below.
firstly ensure that your hearing aids are not connected to any other Bluetooth or Starkey 2.4Ghz devices.
Then, turn your hearing aids off and back on again and place them within 6 inches (15 cm) of the Mini Remote Microphone.
Afterward, turn the Microphone on by pressing the power button for 2 seconds and release it when the LED illuminates.
Then while the green LED is slowly pulsing, double-click the power button. The LED status indicator will then alternately blink between red and blue.
The LED lights will change to a double yellow blink if two hearing aids have been connected successfully.
