Compatible with Starkey Livio ranges, the 2.4Ghz Remote Microphone+ enables you to enjoy streaming from multiple audio sources and serves as a remote microphone ideal for conversation in background noise. A compact but attractive device, the physical features consist of a multi-function button, status indicator LED light, input mode button, input mode LED x 5, FM receiver jack, micro-USB jack, clip, and volume buttons.

Features:

When in microphone mode, the Remote Microphone+ helps a hearing aid user by directly streaming their conversation partner’s voice, picked up close to the source, to the hearing aids. This reduces the signal-to-noise ratio, improving speech intelligibility and reducing listening fatigue.

The Remote Microphone+ can be worn on an article of clip-to clothing or on a lanyard (optional extra). When worn in this way, the microphone will automatically prioritize sound from directly above whilst reducing sound from other directions. The device can also be placed flat on a table for use in a group conversation in a quieter environment where it will receive sound from all directions. Ideal for use in large meeting environments when you might normally struggle to hear a speaker at the other end of a table.

The Remote Microphone+ can interface with an impressive number of sources:

• Bluetooth A2DP profile (e.g. music played from a smartphone)
• Bluetooth Handsfree profile (phone calls)
• Loop systems
• FM systems
• Line-in audio

Pairing:

Pairing is required both to the hearing aids and to any Bluetooth devices you wish to stream from. The pairing process is simple and can be done without programming from your hearing care professional. The Remote Microphone + can pair to 8 Bluetooth devices. When used for hands-free phone calls, the device picks up your voice and transmits it back to your mobile phone. Your voice then goes on to the caller meaning you do not need to take your mobile phone out of your pocket at all.

Usage:

For best results for one-to-one listening in noisy environments, the microphone should be within 20cm (8 inches) of the speaker’s mouth. The typical range of operation is up to 10 meters (30 feet)
